Police arrest suspected Islamic State recruit in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: A Hyderabad-based engineer was arrested on Friday by the Cyberabad police for alleged links with the terror group Islamic State.
32-year-old Salman Moinuddin, an engineering graduate with a masters degree from the United States confessed to the police that he was going to join the Islamic State.
During his stay in the US, he came in touch with Nicky Joseph, a British national and a neo-Muslim based in Dubai, with fundamentalist leaning towards Islam.

Since 2014, both Moinuddin and Nicky Joseph, who also took the name of Ayesha took interest in the establishment of the Islamic State and created several facebook groups under fake names in order to recruit people for ISIS.

Moinuddin was denied a Visa by US authorities in October, after which he returned to India and continued his activities. During his stay he tried to recruit local youth across the country, to be sent to Syria and Iraq to be a part of the terror group.
Police statement says that Moinuddin intended to undergo training in Syria and ater returning to the country he wanted to indulge in anti-national activities.
Moinuddin was arrested today morning from Shamshabad International airport based on intel reports.
