Three killed, 10 injured in road mishap

Ravinder Reddy succumbed to his injuries in a private hospital in Hyderabad

Warangal: Three people were killed and 10 others were injured in an accident near Raghunathpalli that took place in the wee hours of Sunday. The mishap took place when a Tata Sumo and a mini bus collided near Venkatayyapalem. The deceased were identified as Ravinder Reddy (55), Neethika (20) and Bhuvaneshwari all of whom are residents of postal colony in Hanamkonda. While Ravinder Reddy succumbed to his injuries in a private hospital in Hyderabad, the other two died on the spot. 12 others were injured and two of them are still in critical condition.

According to the Jangaon rural CI Vasala Satish, “Ravinder Reddy and his family, who are residents of Postal colony in Hanamkonda, were on their way to Yadagirigutta in a Tata Sumo and the mini bus was carrying devotees from Chaitanyapuri, Hyderabad to Medaram. The accident took place near Venkatayyapalem when both vehicles collided at high speed. The Tata Sumo went off the road and hit a tree. Two passengers, Ravinder Reddy’s daughter Neetika and their family friend Bhuvaneshwari in the Sumo died on the spot. Ten passengers in the minibus had minor injuries. The injured were shifted to Jangaon area hospital. Anuradha, Ravinder Reddy and the driver Raju were shifted to a private hospital in Hyderabad as they were in critical condition.” While Ravinder Reddy succumbed, the other two are still undergoing treatment.
