Hyderabad: In the backdrop of scams in the health department coming to light, Deputy Chief Minister and minister for health for Telangana, T. Rajaiah, committed blunders during the inauguration of 66th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress.
The foreign delegates at the event laughed at his poorly prepared speech. In his address at the programme at Hitex on Friday, the tense minister ended up saying, “It is immense pressure (instead of pleasure) to welcome you all”. Further, he wrongly referred to the event as 36th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress when it was the 66th. Recently, the TS government had sacked many of his subordinates over the swine flu virus.
