White House tweets 'Jai Hind' after President Obama arrives in India
New Delhi: After President Barack Obama’s arrival in India on Sunday, the US National Security Council tweeted: "President Obama is honoured to be back in India to celebrate Republic Day and to begin a new chapter in the US-India partnership. Jai Hind!"

President Barack Obama received a ceremonial welcome, which included a 21-gun salute.
The Security Council is the principal forum used by the US president for considering national security and foreign policy matters.
Meanwhile, US National Security Advisor Susan Rice, who is accompanying Obama to India, also posted a tweet saying "Jai Hind".
