Sources confirm the actress is on board for the sequel of the hit Bollywood film

Mumbai: Both Farhan Akhtar and Prachi Desai had made their acting debut with the hit film Rock On. The movie had gone on to win seven Filmfare awards and our Bollywood sources tell us that a sequel is on the cards soon. “Rock On 2 was being planned by the makers. It has now been confirmed that Prachi Desai was signed for the film early in February.”
The source goes on to add, “It is final that Prachi will be a part of Rock On 2. She was on cloud nine while signing the agreement. This film means a lot to her as Rock On was her début film. She is not only very close to the movie but also has loads of memories and feels proud that her first film was very successful. What more could she ask for… working with the same team of Arjun Rampal, Farhan Akhtar and Purab Kohli.”
Luke Kenny, whose character was suffering from cancer in Rock On, will not feature in Rock On 2. “Prachi hopes that the team is able to repeat the magic again and bag many more awards,” adds the source.
Looks like 2015 will be a good year for the actress. Towards the end of 2014, she had signed on to play Naureen, the first wife of Mohammad Azharuddin, in the biopic of the cricketer-turned-politician.
