Hyderabad: Islamic scholars from Middle East on Saturday appealed to scholars of Jamia Nizamia Islamic Educational Institution, Hyderabad, to train the Muslim youth to face the contemporary challenges across the globe.
Dr Ibrahim Salah Al Sayed Sulaiman al Hudhud, vice-president of the Al Azhar University of Egypt, Shaik Muhammad Abdul Aziz of Kuwait and other eminent Islamic scholars of the country were speaking at an International Educational Seminar in Arabic organised by the Jamia Nizami on the subject of ‘Hazrat Shaikh-ul-Islam, founder of Jamia Nizamia, his genius personality and his constructive contribution to the society.’
The institution organised the seminar as part of the centenary celebrations of Muhammad Anwaarullah Farooqui, the founder of Jamia Nizamia Institution.
Recalling the services of Shaikh-ul-Islam Muha-mmad Anwaarullah Farooqui, the scholars said he had succeeded in collecting of about 3,000 manuscripts, including the over 400-year-old translation of the Mahabharata and books written by renowned Indian and Arabic Islamic scholars.
Dr Ibrahim Salah Al Sayed Sulaiman Al Hudhud assured that he will initiate steps for admissions of Jamia Nizamia students into Islamic institution in the Arab world.
Mufti Khalil Ahmed, the head of the Jamia Nizamia, in his presidential address said that Anwaarullah Farooqui collected the oldest manuscripts with a view that students of the Institute should study other religions.
