Arjun Kapoor to play former cricketer Kapil Dev?
Mumbai: Amidst the AIB Roast controversy and the failure of his last film ‘Tevar’, Arjun Kapoor may have just hit the jackpot with his latest film offer. Rumours are abuzz that the star has been approached to play former Indian cricket captain Kapil Dev in a film based on the 1983 World Cup.
Confirming the same, a source from the unit told Mid-day, “Arjun has been approached and he is contemplating. Vishnu Vardhan Induri, the founder and MD of CCL, who is planning the project, has already met the actor with the script. He has also approached actors for essaying the other characters but nothing has been finalised as of now. We will make an official announcement once every thing is in place.”
According to the report, Arjun is taking his time to make a decision as the role is a big responsibility, but the chances of him agreeing to be a part of the project are very high.
