Honey Singh appears at Nagpur police station for investigation in obscenity case
Mumbai: Honey Singh arrived in Nagpur city on Sunday to appear in Pachpaoli Police Station, in relation to a FIR filed against him. Anandpal Singh Gurnam Singh Jabbal had filed a police complaint case stating that the rapper had allegedly uploaded obscene songs on social networking sites.
According to Nagpur Today, Anandpal’s FIR was not taken seriously, he moved to the Commissioner of Police who also failed to initiate any action. Anandpal then took a step to file a case before the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) under Section 156 of Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC). The Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court then asked Honey Singh to appear at the Police Station by March 2. The decision on the same is still pending.
The report also stated that Honey was present at the police station for 10 minutes to complete the formalities. Surprisingly instead of carrying out the formalities, the cops there were busy getting photos clicked with the rapper and even called their family members.
The rapper, who has been away from limelight, recently released his single ‘Birthday bash’ from the film ‘Dilliwaali Zaalim Girlfriend’.
