Ranchi: Sakshi Dhoni gave the first glimpse of her and MS Dhoni’s daughter when she tweeted a picture of the baby girl on Monday.

The 33-year-old cricketer became a first time father after his daughter was born at Fortis Hospital on February 7.
According to the doctors, the baby weighed 3.7 kgs at the time of birth. Dhoni was then busy preparing for India's title defence at the World Cup in Australia and could not be present at the time of her daughter’s birth.

Two days later, on February 9, Sakshi took to Twitter to say that the new born is named Ziva.

Ziva, which is a variant of Ziv in Hebrew means radiance, brilliance and light.
According to close sources, an ecstatic Dhoni then revealed the news to his teammates at a party organised by the team management to celebrate the birth of their child.

Sakshi is generally seen travelling with his husband on tours but she didn't travel with Dhoni during the Australia tour.
Dhoni had tied the nuptial knot with childhood friend Sakshi Singh Rawat on July 4, 2010.
