During the toss, Gavaskar asked Kohli, "Is she here". A seemingly blushing Kohli replied, "Yes, she would be", amid a loud cheer from a near capacity crowd.
While the Eden crowd might have enjoyed the moment, Gavaskar found himself getting panned on twitter over the issue.
Sunil Gavaskar has turned into that embarrassing grandpa who won't shut up talking and everyone else has to ignore or play along.

"To see those reactions after just one match was very disappointing for me personally. It makes you lose faith in a lot of people. It's a good thing in a way. You get to know who's with you and who's not. It was not in my control.
