Rifles used in both AP and TS encounters on April 7, sent for tests

It is sent to AP Forensic Science Laboratory in Hyderabad for ballistic examination
Hyderabad: Firearms used by policemen in both the April 7 encounters in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have been sent to AP Forensic Science Laboratory in Hyderabad for ballistic examination.
Twenty woodcutters were killed in the Seshachalam forests in AP, and five undertrial terror suspects were shot dead near Alair in Telangana in separate encounters. According to sources in the APFSL, the weapons used by the escort police to shoot dead Viquaruddin and four other terror suspects at Pebbair near Alair in Nalgondam bullets and empty cartdridges had been sent to the lab.
Ballistic experts who visited the crime scene submitted a preliminary observations that the police theory of encounter coincided with that of crime scene analysis. “The bullet reportedly fired by Viquaruddin after snatching a weapon from the policemen hit the the glass pane of the bus and the direction at which it is fired coincided with the police theory,” said a source.
Viscera of the suspects was also sent to to APFSL for toxicological examination. In the Seshacalam encounter case too the weapons used by the red sanders anti smuggling task force and muzzle loaders found at the scene were sent to APFSL. The viscera of woodcutters were also sent for tests.
