Tirupati: 607th birth anniversary of Annamayya from May 5
Tirupati: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is all set to observe the 607th Jayanti Mahotsavams of Saint Poet Tallapaka Annamacharya in his native village of Tallapaka in YSR Kadapa district from May 5-7, said TTD Tirupati JEO Pola Bhaskar.
The JEO briefed on the special programmes, while addressing the media persons after release of Annamacharya Jayanti wall posters in Dhyan Mandir at Tallapaka on Thursday. He said during these three days Nadaswara Melam, Sapthagiri Sankeertana Goshti Ganam, Srinivasa Kalyanam, special cultural programmes will be organised near 108 feet mammoth statue of Annamayya. The events include Bala Sankeerthana Vibhavari with child artistes, who excelled on various musical platforms, under the direction of music director Vasu Rao.
The JEO also said TTD has prepared an action plan to conduct this fete in a grand manner every year. An exclusive museum in Tallapaka is also under proposal, he added. Earlier, the JEO inspected the ongoing works in Tallapaka along with local MLA S. Mallikarjuna Reddy.
Later, Mr Bhaskar released the wall posters of the annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Narapura Venkateswara Swamy in Jammalamadugu from May 1-11 and three-day annual Teppotsavams from May 2-4 in Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy temple at Devuni Kadapa. Rajampet RDO Venugopal Pillai, Dy EOs Balaji, Ms Sarada were also present.
