Shabbir Ali: Naidu must quit CM post
Hyderabad: The Leader of Opposition, Shabbir Ali, on Monday asked AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to resign from his post to facilitate a fair probe into the 'Cash for Vote' case.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here, Mr Ali said that Mr Naidu himself got trapped in the game of horse-trading of legislators which he began in 1995 to dethr-one late N.T. Rama Rao.
He introduced the politics of luring MLAs with money to achieve the top post. “Interestingly, his previous partner in the game, K. Chandrashekar Rao, has now turned his rival and got him trap-ped. If Naidu still believes in some ethics he should resign for his post forthwith,” he said.
Mr Ali advised Mr Naidu to make late NTR’s son Nandamuri Balakrishna as the next Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
