Three-day workshop on baking technology

COIMBATORE: Loaves of bread in different shapes and sizes will be made with different ingredients and technology at the Bakers Technology Fair (BTF). The trade show is for bakery, confectionery, pizza, confectionery, pizza ice-cream, coffee and related equipment and machinery.
The event is organised for the commercial buyers who are interested in sourcing their needs for bakeries, café and restaurant projects. Experts will give live demonstrations on how to make different varieties of breads using different ingredients.
“A workshop on Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), safety and hygiene and frozen technology, which allows storing food for a week, will be held tomorrow. We are expecting a footfall of over 6,000 visitors,” said Brijesh Edwards, the organizer.
Leading bakers' associations including Society of Indian Bakers, Gujarat State Bakers Association, Karaikudi Bakery Owners Association, Trichy District Bakery Owners Association, South Indian Hotels & Restaurant Association (SHIRA), Kerala Hotels Association, Hotels Association of Pondicherry, Tamil Nadu Hotels Association will give live demonstration to visitors.
“Manpower is the major problem these days and to fill this gap, the latest technologies can actually bring ease at work," said the organiser. The event is on till June 28.
