Mumbai: Shahid Kapoor tied the knot with Mira Rajput in a low-key ceremony at a farm house on the outskirts of the national capital, attended by close relatives and friends on Tuesday.
This was an arranged marriage for Shahid and Mira and the ceremony was attended by 40 guests. Mumbai-based Shahid arrived in Delhi yesterday while his parents were in the city before to oversee the wedding preparations.
The wedding celebrations started last evening with a sangeet ceremony. We hear the star flew his entourage to Delhi to attend the wedding. The actor put them up in a five-star hotel, not only that the actor even gifted his staff two tailored suits.
Special make-up artists were flown from Mumbai for Mira’s bridal make-up. A source from the wedding, “During the sangeet ceremony Shahid danced on some of his peppy numbers including ‘Sari Ka Fall Sa’, ‘Dhating Naach’.”
As tradition goes, Mira’s younger cousins hid the groom’s shoes in return for money after lunch.
