KPCC member files complaint against Ashwin Rao
BENGALURU: A fresh FIR has been registered against Ashwin Yerabati, Lokayukta Justice Y. Bhaskar Rao's son, and his associates by the Special Investigation Team, based on a cheating case filed by KPCC member and industrialist P.N. Krishnamurthy.
SIT officials confirmed that the FIR was registered against Ashwin, Lokayukta Joint Commissioner (PRO) Syed Riyaz, V. Bhaskar alias 420 Bhaskar, brokers Narasimha Rao, Sadik and others.
Mr Krishnamurthy stated in the complaint that he has a land worth several crores of rupees in Koramangala, but was not able to get the khata from the BBMP. About 6-7 months ago, Narasimha Rao and Sadik got in touch with him and told him that there was a person who could solve it for him.
“The duo took him to a star hotel where Ashwin met him and told him that his problem could be solved. Ashwin allegedly said that he would speak to the BBMP officials to get the documents. The gang allegedly demanded Rs 80 lakh, while Mr Krishnamurthy paid Rs 20.91 lakh. Of that, he handed over Rs 7 lakh directly to Ashwin. Narasimha Rao received Rs 3.91 lakh, while Bhaskar allegedly got the biggest share of Rs 10 lakh,” an official said.
“The complainant alleged that he met Ashwin and other accused in the conference hall next to PRO Riyaz’s chamber at the time of giving the land documents. But the gang did not help him and gave lame reasons when asked. Finally, he paid Rs 10 lakh to Bhaskar and got the documents back, which happened in the PRO’s office,” he said.
