“Of course I couldn’t take that at face value because all these years I believed that Sheena was my wife’s sister and my wife had told me that. I then confronted my wife about it and she said it was utter rubbish and this had been fed to Sheena from somewhere else and it was completely, untrue and I was not to believe it at all,” said Peter Mukerjea.

Missing link to the Sheena Bora murder case surfaces - her DNA report
Peter Mukerjea and his son from his first wife Rahul visited the police station to record their statements. The media mogul said that he spoke to his son after three years and that they had not been talking to each other since 2012 when Rahul told him that Sheena was his wife’s daughter and not her sister. Peter Mukerjea said he did not believe Rahul back then. He said that he and his son did not have a pleasant conversation with each other ever since that time. He added that his son had also told him that Indrani had done something to her since Sheena went missing.
When asked about his wife’s first marriage, he said, “I came to know about it now. I will cooperate with the police regarding the same.” Peter Mukerjea reiterated that he was not aware of his wife’s first relationship and that Sheena was her daughter. He said that he was upset with new facts emerging about his wife’s murky past. “The only relief in this sordid turn of events is that I have come closer to my son Rahul with whom, I was not on talking terms. I spoke to him after I heard the shocking news of Sheena’s murder. I think things will get sorted out soon,” he told this newspaper.
