Declare Pakistan a terrorist state, says Jammu and Kashmir deputy CM

Pak is using terrorism as an instrument of international diplomacy, said Nirmal Singh

Jammu: Condemning shelling by Pakistani troops in which 3 civilians were killed and 17 others injured, Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh said that time has come when international community should declare Pak as a "terrorist state" as that country is using terrorism as an instrument of international diplomacy. "Time has come when international community should declare it as a terrorist state as Pakistan is using terrorism as an instrument of international diplomacy", Singh told reporters on Friday.

Singh, who visited Government Medical College (GMC) hospital in Jammu to met injured people in Pakitani firing, said, "I condemn Pakistani firing as they have restarted firing and shelling and killing civilians along the borderline, because they have been exposed on the international front for supporting terrorism".

Singh assured the injured full support from the state government amid grant of ex-gratia compensation to injured people at GMC hospital. "These are acts of desperation. Pakistan has been exposed on the International front politically as it could not face the world due to terror attacks, infiltrations and ceasefire violations", he said.

Deputy Chief Minister said "World should not accept this (sponsoring and aiding terrorism). India cannot tolerate it. The way, they are resorting to the mortar shelling and killing three people and 15 others injured, four are serious, cannot be tolerated".

"Pak has been exposed following arrest of two of its citizens involved in terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. Our forces have caught two terrorists sent from Pak to create an environment of terrorism", he said.

On the issue of NSA level talks, he said "Pak could not have faced India at the NSA level talks. Pak did all possible things engineering terror attacks, resorting to inviting Hurriyat Conference for talks, mortar shelling and killing people to force India to put an end to the talks but the country's leadership had understood their designs and did not at all withdrew from the talks".

"Pak has nothing to talk from their end in the talks at the level of NSA. Instead, we had all evidences like that of Naved and the terror attacks that is why he scuttle the talks", he said.

Singh assured relief from the State Government for the people who were injured in the RS Pura ceasefire violation. "Injured people are being treated for free. Relief from the State Government will be given," Singh said.
