JAC leaders demanded that a case should be registered

Hyderabad: The Telangana Advocates JAC leaders on Sunday lodged a police complaint against AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for his alleged decision to remove Telangana history lessons from the AP school syllabus.

The complainants alleged that the AP government had issued an order to remove parts mentioning Telangana tribal women warriors Sammakka and Saralamma from text books. Some parts mentioning other TS historical figures had also been removed, they alleged.

The petitioner said that the move was to insult Telugu culture. In the complaint lodged with the Saroornagar police, the JAC leaders demanded that a case should be registered against Mr Naidu. Inspector Lingaiah, said no case had been booked.
