AAP demands EC take action against PM over 'casteist' remarks
New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party on Thursday attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for invoking caste in his address at an election rally in Bihar and demanded that the Election Commission take action against him.
AAP leader Ashutosh said that Modi had also made reference to caste during Parliamentary polls and strict action needs to be taken against him.
"He made casteist comments in his rally and whatever words he has used have never been used by any Prime Minister before. He has done this in the past and we hope the Election Commission takes action against him," he said.
While campaigning in Bihar today, Modi launched a blistering attack on RJD supremo Lalu Prasad, saying his beef eating remark is an "abuse" and "huge insult" to 'Yaduvanshis' (Yadav clan).
