MLA collects water, soil for Andhra Pradesh capital construction

Kakinada: Different sections of people and government departments including police and advocates collected water and soil from various divisions in Kakinada and handed over it to MLA Vanamadi Venkateswara Rao (Kondababu) for construction of capital.
Superintendent of Police M. Ravi Prakash collected soil and water in police qu-arters where Ayyappa Swa-my Temple and Gosala and offered poojas for the sacr-ed water and soil. Later he gave it to the MLA through DSP S. Venkateswara Rao. Ravi Prakash said that the police department also participated in the programme for capital construction.
The Joint Action Com-mittee of NGOs led by its district president Buriga Ash-eervadam and former president Achanta Ramara-yudu handed over the mat-erial to the MLA by taking a procession. Kakinada RDO B.R. Ambedkar also participated in the programme.
MLA Kondababu who collected the soil and water from the people at Kakinada Municipal Corporation office said that the people and officials of various departments collected the sacred water and soil from 50 divisions in Kakinada amidst auspicious blessings of various religious Gurus. He said the material would be sent to Amaravathi through collector H. Arunkumar.
Kakinada Bar Association president Pepakayala Ramakrishna, KMC Commissioner Aleem Basha, Godavari Chamber of Commerce president Grandhi Narayana Rao (Babji), Telugu Desam leaders and workers participated in the programme.
