Amaravati fete: Hotels plan special dishes for Foundation Day ceremony

Vijayawada: City hotels are gearing up to celebrate Amaravati capital city foundation ceremony as a festival with colourful decorations and various cuisines. The hotel authorities are making special dishes as several prominent personalities of national and international level guests will be staying in city hotels.

According to AP Hotels Association, all the hotels will organise the food festival individually and also jointly at PWD grounds expecting some international tie-ups and joint ventures in the hotel industry.

As part of it, all the hotels have plans to draw the attention of guests. Similarly all the hotel managements have ordered the kitchen department to prepare special items for guests. Twenty-one hotels have been selected for providing accommodation for 1,200 national and international guests.

However, the officials and hotel managements are tight-lipped over the guests list in hotels. The staff is busy making arrangements to decorate their hotels with special lighting and welcoming boards.

According to ongoing developments, the state government reserved hotel rooms for one day in advance of the foundation ceremony day.

AP Hotels Association president Muttavarapu Srinivasa Babu, and his family has two leading hotels, Fortune Murali Park and Swarna Palace and they will be hosting special food festivals on this occasion. The state’s special dishes including lip-smacking vegetarian and non-vegetarian local chutneys also would be on the menu.

All the hotels would celebrate the Amaravati capital city foundation ceremony as a festival. The association has plans to host a mega food carnival at PWD grounds to draw the attention of international guests.

Ilapuram Raja, who is the owner of Hotel Ilapuram, announced his hotel would provide Kunda biryani as a special dish for this occasion. Other hotels have similar plans he added.
