Cycle rally from Hyderabad to Amaravati turns controversial

Guntur: A team started cycle rally from Hyderabad to Amaravati on October 19, in support of the TD rule of 502 days on the occasion of the foundation ceremony of the capital.
The cycle rally turned controversial after telecasting a video footage by a Telugu TV channel showing that some of the members of the team were loading their cycles on a truck after crossing a village and boarding a bus. The team known as Bring Babu Back organised the rally.
J. Venkat, coordinator of the Bring Babu Back team accepted that some of the members who fell sick during the rally and others, whose cycle was damaged boarded a bus and their cycles were loaded on a truck.
He said that they also arranged an ambulance along with them for first aid treatment.
