Quinton de Kock, Hashim Amla overhaul Virat Kohli’s records
Mumbai: As South Africa went onto score mammoth 438 in the fifth and final ODI at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday, centurion Quinton de Kock and Hashim Amla broke Virat Kohli’s records.

In the process, the 22-year-old equalled Sachin Tendulkar’s record of scoring most number of ODI hundreds (8) before turning 23.

Kock also overtook Kohli in this category.
Before turning 23, the star India player had seven tons against his name; one less than Kock. De Kock’s birthdays is on December 17 and considering South Africa were not to play any ODIs before his birthday, scoring two tons against India in the ODI series was his best chance to go past Kohli.
Kohli was beaten in one more category by another South African.

Kohli took 136 innings to reach the mark while Amla required 10 innings less than Kohli to achieve the feat.
Amla is also the fastest to reach 2,000, 3,000 and 4,000 runs in ODIs.
