Amit Mishra case: Medical reports will prove my charge, claims victim
Bengaluru: A day after cricketer Amit Mishra was arrested and questioned by the city police, wherein Amit claimed self defence as she tried to assault him, Vandana Jain said that the medical reports that she has submitted with the police will speak for the incident.
“The medical reports I had given to the police will say what he (Amit Mishra) has done to me. Everything is proven, everything is there in the report,” Ms. Jain said, adding that misunderstandings do happen and she did not want to comment about the reason for the incident as it was personal and not to be shared with anybody. “It is true that I have fractured my hand. I have all bruises on my neck and everything is there on the medical report which is with the police who know about the incident,” she said.
Reacting to media reports stating that she would withdraw her complaint if Amit apologised to her, Ms. Jain said “He did not call me up and apologise. I thought he would arrive at a compromise, but it looks like he wants to go ahead legally and hence everything will go along according to legal procedures. The facts that he has physically, mentally, and emotionally abused me are true, and for all these, evidence is available with the police. Truth is there, God is there, police and courts are there and I trust them for justice,” Ms. Jain said.
Meanwhile medical reports of Ms. Jain stated she had suffered multiple contusions around her neck and orthopaedic treatments are suggested. Her ring finger has also been damaged. Initially the injuries of Ms. Jain were presumed to be not severe by the police, but later looking at the medical reports, the injuries were termed as grievous hurts and subsequently the IPC sections were changed in the FIR.
