Murder bid over extra-marital affair
The victim’s wrist got cut and the duo fled the spot
Bengaluru: The Kodigehalli police arrested two men who had allegedly attempted to murder a person, who was having an affair with the wife of one of the accused. The arrested have been identified as Mohammed alias Syed Mohammed alias Syed Ansar, 28, and T. Suresh alias Suri, 32, both residents of Bhoopasandra.
According to the police, the victim, identified as Syed Soud, also a resident of Bhoopasandra was in a relationship with the wife of Syed Mohammed, the prime accused. After Mohammed came to know about the affair, he along with his friend Suresh plotted to eliminate Soud, police added.
On October 30, while Soud was fishing at the Hebbal lake along with his friend Babu, the two accused arrived at the spot with lethal weapons. They picked up a quarrel with the duo during which time Suresh threw chilli powder on Babu’s face while Mohammed attacked Soud on his head and hand. The victim’s wrist got cut and the duo fled the spot.
Babu rushed Soud to a nearby hospital and informed the police. The police visited the hospital, took up a complaint and arrested Mohammed, while Suresh was caught two days later. The cops have also recovered the long and a knife that was used for the crime.
