Ex-MP Siricilla Rajaiah’s daughter-in-law and her three sons burnt to death
Warangal: The charred bodies of former Congress MP Siricilla Rajaiah’s daughter-in-law, Sarika, 33, and her three sons Abhinav, 7, Ayan, 4, and Sriyan, 4, were found in their bedroom on Wednesday morning at their residence in Revenue Colony in Hanamkonda under mysterious circumstances.
Warangal police commissioner G. Sudheer Babu said Rajaiah, his wife Madhavi, and son Anil Kumar were among those in the house when the incident happened on the first floor of the two-storied building at Hanamkonda.
Mr Sudheer Babu said that the deaths were due to a fire caused by gas leakage. Two gas cylinders were also found inside the bedroom. It, however, is yet to be established whether the fire broke out accidentally or it was set intentionally.
Locals spotted the fire and thick smoke coming from the building early on Wednesday and alerted the fire brigade. Police reached the spot by 5 am. Though the fire was doused by then, the four victims were completely burnt. Sarika had been having troubles with her in-laws and husband.
