The Telugu actor begins shooting next week. He has been cast opposite Lara Dutta in the film
South actor Navdeep Pallapolu will be kick-starting his Bollywood journey with Tony D’Souza’s biopic Azhar based on the life of Mohammad Azharuddin. According to an industry source, “He plays Lara Dutta’s love interest in the film and his entry happens at a crucial juncture in the story. A lot of actors were auditioned for the part. Then someone suggested Navdeep’s name and he was approached.”
Navdeep, who has acted in both Tamil and Telugu cinema, made his debut in 2004 with a romantic film. So far he has done three Telegu films and one Tamil film, which will release later this year. A source close to the production house confirmed the news, saying “Navdeep is getting a big break in Bollywood and he will start shooting for the film soon. Currently, the film is being shot in Hyderabad and Navdeep will report on the sets next week onwards. He is very thrilled to be a part of a film that is being produced by Ekta Kapoor.”
