Narendra Modi, Mallikarjun Kharge shake hands after debate on Constitution
New Delhi: After BJP and Congress targeted each other during a debate on the Constitution, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Leader of the main opposition party were seen in Lok Sabha exchanging pleasantries in a display of bonhomie.
"Dil mile na mile, hath toh mila hee sakte hain (We may have differences but we can still shake hands)," Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge quipped as he walked towards the treasury benches to shake hands with Modi.
Modi, while shaking hands with Kharge, was heard saying, "We are wearing matching dresses". Both the leaders were wearing white kurta pyjama and half-jacket.
During the two-day long debate in the Lok Sabha to commemorate the Constitution Day and the 125th birth anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar, leaders from both the sides attacked each other on various issues.
