Chennai: The ruling AIADMK on Monday cancelled its order dismissing former DGP R. Natraj from the party’s primary membership. In a late evening statement, the AIADMK headquarters said that the announcement dismissing R. Natraj from south Chennai AIADMK stands cancelled and announced that the former IPS officer would continue as party primary member.
A 1975 batch IPS officer, Nataraj became city police commissioner in 2003. A TV channel’s goof up in using the picture of R. Natraj resulted in his expulsion. The channel expressed its regret and now he is back in our party, AIADMK sources said.
