Google CEO Sundar Pichai meets Prime Minister Narendra Modi
Mumbai: Google CEO Sunder Pichai on Thursday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after an interactive session with 1,800 people comprised of students and teachers at Delhi’s Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC). The news of the meeting surfaced after the Press Information Bureau shared a picture of the meeting on Twitter.
The Prime Minister also tweeted a picture of himself along with the current Google CEO.

Later, Pichai also met India’s President Pranab Mukherjee and other top industrialists from the country in a round table discussion on “technology, innovation and Education” at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.

Google has been constantly investing in projects to further enhance India’s overall growth. The company has lined up myriad projects like the ‘Project Loon’ or the incorporation of Wi-Fi in more than 500 railway stations in India.
At SRCC, Pichai commented positively on India’s growing start-up culture and said that Google will be making a lot of investments in India. Earlier, Modi had met Pichai in September during his two-day visit to Silicon Valley.
