GUNTUR: Amaravati railway station is likely to come up between Venkatapalem and Uddandarayunipalem and Mangalagiri centre of high speed rail. The capital Amaravati perspective plan proposed high speed rail connectivity to the new capital Amaravati from important railway stations. These high speed railway lines will connect at Mangalagiri to go to Amaravati and Mangalagiri would be the centre of rail connectivity. The new capital railway station would likely come up between Venkatapalem and Uddandarayunipalem on the banks of Krishna River. Besides this, new suburban railway connectivity was proposed to Amaravati from eastern, northern, western and southern areas.
According to the Amaravati perspective plan, Vijayawada is the biggest railway centre where trains from north, south, east and west of India pass through. As now capital Amaravati is going to be formed on the banks of the Krishna river at Rayapudi, the rail connectivity is important. First extension of Vijayawada metro rail to Amaravati was proposed but it was rejected due to technical reasons. Hence, a circular train connectivity was proposed a few days ago. They are Krishna Canal Junction, Mangalagiri, Nambur, Peda Kakani and new Guntur railway station between Vijayawada and Guntur stations and Mangalagiri has road connectivity.
Suburban rail connectivity to capital from Krishna:
The new suburban railway line is proposed from Pallerlamudi and will end at Sattenapalli connecting Narsannapalem, Kothapalle, Vempadu, Morsapudi, Yanamadala, Edara, Ganapavaram, Nandigama, Gurrajupalem, Duggiralapadu, Gudimadhavaram, Peddapuram, Chavatpalli, Ramapuram, Konatalapalli, Gollamudi, Satyavaram, Raghavapuram, Ambarupeta, Chandapuram, Muppalla, Turlapadu Veladi of Krishna district.
The suburban railway will connect to Guntur through a bridge on Krishna River at K. Agraharam near old Amaravati and will connect Vutukuru, Balemarru, Andukuru, Gorantla, Kattamuru and Sattenapalli.
Similarly, another new suburban railway line will start from Gudivada of Krishna district will connect Gangadharapuram, Billapadu, Komaravolu, Addada, Peda Maddali, Uruturu, Peda Sanagallu, Kuchipudi, Penumatcha, Choragudi, Srirangapuram of Krishna district and will enter Guntur district at Peda Lanka after passing Krishna River. The suburban railway line will connect Kolluru, Jampani, Chinarauvuru, Tenali, Angalakuduru, Vegendla, Agatavarappadu, Venigandla, Koppura-vuru, Kanteru to reach Mangalagiri.
Already there is a double railway line between Vijayawada and Guntur and this new suburban railway line would come parallel to that line. The capital railway line will pass through Nowluru, Venkatapalem and Uddandarayunipalem and after passing Krishna River it will connect Gollapudi, Ambaupuram, Ramachandrapuram, Kondapavuluru, BB Gudem, Amapuram, Sobhanadripuram and Veleru in Krishna district.
