Television anchors turning into successful heroes is not a new phenomenon in Tamil cinema. Following Sivakarthikeyan, Senthil, Ma Ka Pa Anand who started as a Radio Jockey (RJ) and then VJ, is now turning full-fledged hero! The actor has already shared the screen with Kreshna in a character role in a film Vaanavaraayan Vallavaraayan.
Now with a movie titled Atti, which is directed by debutant Vijayabhaskar, Anand turns a solo hero. Ashmitha, who debuted with Pazhaya Vannaarapettai, would be romancing Anand. “Set in the backdrop of Chennai, the movie reflects the realistic portrayal of the city’s people with all commercial elements intact,” says the director.
Sundar C Babu is back after a hiatus, scoring music for this film. Reportedly, the Vaala Meenukkum fame composer was floored by the outcome of the product and has taken a call to release the movie under his newly-formed banner. Meanwhile, Ramki, who got busy with his second innings, has been roped in to play a vital character. Rajendhran will be providing the comic relief. Surprisingly, even before his first solo hero flick is yet to hit the screens, Anand’s kitty is full with three more movies including Panjumittai.
