Honda Navi: a unique 110-cc hybrid bike for youngsters
Mumbai: Honda’s Motorcycle and Scooter (HMSI) recently announced a unique 110-cc bike-scooter crossover in India at the 2016 Auto Expo. Since the launch, the company has touted the hybrid-bike, dubbed Navi, to be “one heck of a fun ride”.
While a 110-cc engine powers the two-wheeler, Honda has ensured that the bike is high on mileage apart from its unique, out-of-the-box looks. The company has priced the bike judiciously at Rs 39,500.
In terms of performance, this mini-hybrid bike features an efficient 110-cc, single cylinder, four-stroke Honda engine, which offers smooth performance along with augmented mileage.
The Navi gets two 130mm drum brakes at each end; however, the inclusion of disks would have made it much better. Its 3.5 litre fuel tank is small, but the high mileage easily makes up for it.
The bike also employs Honda Eco Technology (HET) that ensures improved combustion, reduced friction, and optimised transmission. Other notable features include front telescopic suspension, tubeless tyres, and added comfort.
With all these new features and retro-ish design, this hybrid bike has the ingredients to open up new doors in the two-wheeler market in India, and parts of Asia as well.
Honda Navi is available in five different colours—Patriot Red, Hooper Green, Shasta White, Sparky Orange and Black. Considering the affordable price and the peppy design, there are high chances that a lot of scooty/ scooter users will be tempted to buy this unique bike.
For users who are looking for a “funky” ride with decent performance, the Navi seems to be quite an apt answer, especially for youngsters. Moreover, the company is offering a slew of customisation options to users, giving them an opportunity to personalise the bike as per their requirement and preference.
