Secret Superstar trailer: Aamir and his Dangal daughter Zaira Wasim shine bright

Mumbai: Aamir Khan has done it before, and he's done it again. The actor had shown immense gall by backing wife Kiran Rao's avabte-garde 'Dhobi Ghat,' while also starring in a supporting role in the film, despite his megastar status.

Shah Rukh Khan pulled a similar stunt last here to formidable effect, by playing second fiddle to Alia Bhatt in Gauri Shinde's 'Dear Zindagi'.

And now Aamir is back with his next production, 'Secret Superstar'. The teaser of the film, which had impressed considerably thanks to its novelty factor, however isn't any much different from the trailer of the film, which released today, itself.

Aamir's Dangal daughter, Zaira Wasim, will be seen playing theprotagonist in the film, as a girl wanting to pursue her dream of becoming a singer, clubbed down by her conservative father.

Aamir, will be seen as a cocky musician, modelled on a few of our very own contemporaries, in the film. the actor will also be seen playing mentor to the girl in her endeavour to take her music to places.

The Amit Trivedi musical, has been helmed by debutante Advait Chandan, and is slated for an October 19.
