After ABCD 2, Lauren Gottlieb is gearing up for her next release, Ambarsariya, where she will be seen acting opposite Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh. Diljit makes his Bollywood debut with the Kareena Kapoor-starrer Udta Punjab.
Lauren has learned to speak the language for her first Punjabi project ever. And guess who tutored her? Diljit. The actor apparently helped her pick up chaste Punjabi words along with some slang.
When contacted Lauren said, “I have a few Punjabi friends, so I was a little familiar with the language. But to work on the fluency and pronunciation was a huge task. Punjabi culture and hospitality has no match. I was so new to the place, but it was absolute bliss to be there. I was surrounded by Punjabis and Diljit helped me a lot to get my diction right. In fact, during dubbing, he was pretty shocked that I could lip-sync so well.”
