Karan Johar has confirmed that his next film, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, starring Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan, is neither a conventional love story, nor about a love triangle.
A source gives an update regarding the story: “Anushka and Fawad are from Karachi, who meet each other in a foreign country. Fawad is a DJ while Anushka comes from a nawabi family. The two fall in love abroad but once they come back to Karachi and Fawad approaches Anushka’s family to ask for her hand, he is ridiculed for belonging to a lower class… a bhand (jester or entertainer) by profession, and sent away… A dejected Anushka leaves her home too.”
“You will have to watch the film to see whether they are united,” adds the source.
A schedule of the film recently got over in Rajasthan and the team is currently on a short break before the final schedule begins in Mumbai. Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil will release this Diwali.
