Govinda bats for education of girl child, graces half-marathon in support of cause
Mumbai: Actor Govinda acted as the chief guest at the Celebration Club's half-marathon on November 06.
The marathon was held to promote the noble cause of promoting the education of the girl child.
There were a total number of 674 participants, from across age demographics, who participated in the marathon, that was organised by the Club's secretary, Hemant Nair.
There was food, drinks stationed at various points as well a breakfast arranged for at the end of the marathon. There was live music to encourage the runners, as well.
Distribution of prize, cash and kind, was held by Govinda, who'd been highly enthusiastic about being able participate. The event was also graced by fitness enthusiast and trainer, Mickey Mehta.
The club maintained the local police had been extremely instrumental in maintaining peace and facilitating a smooth run.
Govinda, who will next be seen in Anurag Basu's 'Jagga Jasoos,' looked fit and highly impressed by the marathon.
He readily posed with the organisers as well as fans post the prize distribution.
The team deserves some serious props for making a flawless event and supporting a noble cause that needs instant addressing.
