Sweet birthday song, followed by a tender kiss: Salman's special wish for Katrina

Mumbai: Bollywood has gathered in New York City for the prestigious International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) awards and is gearing up for the big night which is scheduled to take place on July 15.

The press conference for the awards show was held on Thursday and A-Listers from the film industry like Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon marked their presence.

What made the event all the more special was Salman singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to ex-gf Katrina on stage, who is now a close friend of the actor. The moment he started singing, other celebs joined in. Towards the end, the ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ star said, “The best thing about wishing someone Happy Birthday is this,” and then walked up to the birthday girl and planted two tender kisses on both her cheeks.

If this isn’t adorable, we don’t what is!

During the press conference of the same event in Mumbai, which will happen over a period of three days from July 13 to July 15, Salman joked saying that July 16 (Kats birthday) will be called ‘Katrina Day.’

When the Bhai of Bollywood was asked if he has any plans with the actress on her birthday, the superstar said, “Nothing. I hope she invites me though,” while adding that it will all depend on how she performs on stage.”

These two have a rock-solid friendship, don’t they?
