Actor Naveen Pelishetty, who debuted with Shekhar Kammula’s Life is Beautiful, has now been roped in by Anil Kapoor for the second season of the TV show, 24. The actor is busy shooting for a number of Hindi serials, and a few episodes of 24 have already been aired on a National TV channel. The story of the new series revolves around a virus attack on the city of Mumbai. “I play a Maharasht-rian boy from the chawls of Mumbai who unintentionally gets involved in this virus attack,” he explains. “The episodes show the entire team of Anil Kapoor’s character and the Prime Minister trying to locate him since the virus is inside him and anybody who comes in contact could catch it. “It is an intense character with a love story. I am thrilled by the response that I’ve got so far. I am very happy because I even learnt Marathi for this role,” says Naveen.
Naveen is also playing the lead in a web series titled Chinese Bhasad. “It is a romantic comedy which revolves around a Lucknow boy who falls in love with a Chinese girl and brings her to meet his family,” says Naveen about the series, adding, “I am thrilled that I got to play two completely contrasting main roles at such big platforms,” he says. Talking about his Telugu films, where his last film was 1: Nenokkadine, Naveen says that he is coming back to Hyderabad soon. “After a long tryst with Hindi TV shows, I’m eager to get back to Telugu films,” he says.
