Will Salman Khan allow Kanagana Ranaut to go with 'Mental'?
Mumbai: Kangana Ranaut has wrapped her dreqam project 'Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi' and is now all set to work with Shailesh R. Singh for another movie. Unfortunately this movie has faced a standby due to uncertainty of title.
Kangana wants to keep her movie title as ‘Mental’. But like most of you’ll would be aware, the title has already been taken by none other than Salman Khan.
A source from the production house told Mid-Day, "Kangana and Shaileshji are both keen to title their film ‘Mental’. They both think that it goes wonderfully with the story. But when the producers contacted Indian Motion Pictures Producers' Association [IMPPA], they realised that the copyright of the name rests with Salman Khan Films [SKF]. Salman's team had registered the title a few years back when they were toying with the idea of naming Kabir Khan's then under-production film, Mental. However, they later changed it to ‘Tubelight’. They have also requested Kangana to have a word with Salman."
But she had declined ‘Sultan’, and we all know that Bhaijaan doesn’t take rejections well.
A source from SKF however has something else to say, "At the moment, there's no project that could use the title. Unless Bhai has something in mind, he will allow Shaileshji to go ahead with it."
