Exclusive: The truth about Deepika Padukone's RK' tattoo revealed

In a recent Pakistani advertisement, Deepika Padukone’s shoulder become a region of much speculation. Where was the ‘RK’ tattoo that she had got done below the back of her neck in a fit of intense loyalty towards the love of her life Ranbir Kapoor? Had she got it surgically removed after they broke up?

All Deepika-tattoo watchers can rest easy. The tattoo is very much there, though in a modified form. According to a well-informed source, “The ‘K’ from the RK has been modified into a design of a flower. The ‘R’ remains.” Presumably honouring her current romantic allegiance to Ranveer Singh.

For most of he roles Deepika keeps the (newly modified) tattoo out of camera range, concealed by makeup. However, for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati, no such camouflage is required as she wears elaborate costumes with her loose hair cascading down her shoulders. We certainly hope that the ‘R’ in the tattoo remains.
