Though a box-office and critical dud, Haseena Parkar impresses Dawood's family
Mumbai: Haseena Parkar might be a box-office and critical dud, the film has found its takers in the D family. According to a report by NDTV, the Thane Crime Branch, currently investigating extortion charges against Iqbal Kaskar, brother of Dawood Ibrhaim and Haseena Parkar, received information that Haseena’s son Alishah had held a special screening of the film in a Dubai mall.
The family avoided attending the regular shows to evade prying investigative eyes.
The family have been all praises or the film and have reportedly taken to social media to express their approval.
The film stars Shraddha Parkar as Haseena Parkar and brother Siddhant Kapoor as Dawood Ibrahim.
The police had also been probing if Iqbal had funded the film.
"After Parkar's death, Kaskar was handling D-Company's business in Mumbai and Thane from her home in Nagpada. Parkar used to hold a daily darbar there, a practice that Kaskar continued," an officer had said.
