After MNS threat, Fawad Khan secretly leaves for Pak with no plans to return
Mumbai: After the MNS (Maharashtra Navnirman Sena) issued a 48-hour ultimatum for all Pakistani artistes to leave the country, in the wake of the Uri terrorist attack on an Indian army base that saw 18 Indian Jawaans lose their lives, there’s been a general sense of insecurity in the city amongst artistes across the country pursuing a career in the bay.
Specially in dire straits were current heartthrob Fawad Khan, soon to be seen in Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil,’ and Mahira Khan, who’s to make her debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Raees’.
As per reports, Fawad has surreptitiously bid adieu to the city and is back in Pakistan, with no immediate plans of returning.
Fawad, who’s signed up to romance Katrina Kaif in Karan Johar’s upcoming production, had established himself as one of the best in business with a superlative Bollywood debut in ‘Khoobsoorat,’ and a critically lauded act in ‘Kapoor & Sons’.
Karan Johar had earlier in a statement iterated that Fawad won’t be a part of the promotions of ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil,’ which is headed for a Diwali clash with Ajay Devgn’s ‘Shivaay’.
