Victoria and Abdul trailer: Judi Dench and Ali Fazal display amazing chemistry

Mumbai: Victorian films have always had a charm of their own. No other reel work chronicled it better than Peter Morgan's delectable TV series, 'The Crown'.

However, Stephen Frears, the Academy Awards nominated British veteran, might have an endearing tale to tell in 'Victoria and Abdul,' based on the book of the same name by Shrabani Basu.

The trailer, sheds light into the widely unexplored platonic relationship between Queen Victoria and her royal servant Abdul Karim, which consequently became the cause of a lot of friction within the royal family.

Bollywood actor Ali Fazal, popular for his roles in films as '3 Idiots' and 'Fukrey,' bagged probably the biggest role of his career yet, playing Abdul to the gallery, with his innocuous charm.

Dame Judi Dench, is at her versatile best, diving skin deep into the role of the Queen with amazing precision.

The film is slated to release on September 22.
