  • Brie Larson ('Room') wins Best Actress in a leading role.
  • Alejandro González Iñárritu wins Best Director for 'The Revenant'.
  • Sam Smith's Writing's On The Wall ('Spectre') wins Best Original Song.
  • 'The Hateful Eight' wins Best Original Score.
  • 'Stutterer' wins Best Short Live Action film, whereas 'Son of Saul' bags Best Foreign Language Film.
  • 'Amy' wins the Oscar for Best Documentary Feature Film.
  • 'Girl in the River: The Price of Forgiveness' wins Oscar for Best Short Documentary Film.
  • Mark Rylance ('Bridge of Spies') wins Oscar for Best Supporting Actor.

While ‘The Revenant’ was leading with 12 nominations, ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ wasn’t far behind with 10.

Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Eddie Redmayne, Michael Fassbender and Bryan Cranston were up against each other for Best Actor Oscars award in a leading role. Whereas Cate Blanchett, Brie Larson, Jennifer Lawrence, Charlotte Rampling and Saoirse Ronan competed with each other to take Oscar trophy home for Best Actress.
