Kadugu will be a refreshing change: Bharath
Bharath is a busy man these days. The versatile actor now has four films in his kitty — Simba, Ennodu Vilayadu, Pottu and Kadugu. But over the past few days, there have been reports claiming that the Aindhu Aindhu Aindhu actor is essaying the antagonist role in Vijay Milton’s Kadugu.
When we contacted Bharath, he rubbished the reports and clarified that he’s actually playing a boxer in the film — “I was surprised when the news of me playing an antagonist was circulating in social media. The director’s brother, whose name is also Bharath, is playing as one of the three lead roles. Maybe that’s why there was a bit of confusion!” Speaking about his role, he says, “There are three main characters — me, the director/actor Rajakumaran, and Milton’s brother — in film, and mine is the role of a boxer. It’ll be a very interesting role, as he won’t be the typical pugilist you’re expecting. I’m sure it’ll bring a refreshing change in my career.”
Telling us about how he chose to act in a multi starrer, Bharath says he found the story of Kadugu convincing enough for him to accept the role. “In this modern era, it’s important to be a multi-dimensional actor, and that’s what the character in this movie is,” he says and signs off.
