After wrapping up Mani Ratnam’s Kaatru Veliyidai, actor Karthi is geared up to play a cop in his next film Dheeran Adhigaaram Ondru, directed by H Vinoth of Sathuranga Vettai fame. Rakul Preet Singh plays Karthi’s pair and Ghibran has been signed to compose music for the film.
We had earlier reported that the film’s plot revolves around three characters. The latest addition to the cast is actor Abhimanyu Singh, who was last seen in Vikram–Samantha starrer 10 Enradhukulle. Speaking to DC, producer SR Prabhu says, “Yes, he will be playing a role with negative shades and his characterisation is well-etched and intense. We are shooting for the film from January 17 and it will go on till May. Nearly 60 per cent of the film will be shot in the locales of Rajasthan and Gujarat.”
Cinematographer Sathish, art director Kathir, stunt choreographer Dilip Subbarayan and CG artist Hariharan are part of the crew. Abhimanyu Singh stepped into the industry with Ram Gopal Varma’s Raktha Charithra and went on to star in Velayudham and Thalaivaa.
