Shraddha Kapoor could team up with GV Prakash Kumar
Irrespective of whether his films are hits or not, there’s a demand for GV Prakash Kumar, the music composer-turned-actor. That is because makers feel that in terms of business, the viability of Prakash’s films working at the box office is
relatively high.
The big news now is that the actor, whose kitty is full with projects from some of the biggest filmmakers in K’town including Bala, Rajeev Menon and Vetri Maran, has been roped in by Tollywood filmmaker, Sukumar, for the Tamil remake of his blockbuster 100 Percent Love.
Sukumar restricts himself to production — while MM Chandramouli, a film graduate, who had assisted Hollywood cinematographer Fred Murphy — makes his debut and wields the megaphone for the untitled film. He has also worked as a cinematographer in Hollywood flicks like Backwaters and Natasha.
Bollywood cinematographer, Dudley, who is known for his works in Chennai Express, Dilwale and Singham, is behind the camera. Speaking about his project, the director says, “Though it is a romantic drama, I am penning the screenplay in such a way that it will go well with all types of audiences.”
Close sources indicate that the makers want a fresh face instead of repeating Tamannah in Tamil. The huge buzz is that Bollywood beauty Shraddha Kapoor, who has a girl-next-door image, has been approached to play the female lead!
The source also adds that the producer is willing to shell out the remuneration that she commands. Currently, Shraddha is awaiting the release of Half Girlfriend (adapted from Chetan Bhagat novel) and is working on Haseena: The Queen of Mumbai, and having signed a film on Saina Nehwal’s biopic, one needs to see if she will be able to spare dates to make her debut in Tamil.
