Kamal Haasan has sung a song under Ilaiyaraaja’s music direction for Gautham Karthik’s upcoming flick Muthuramalingam, which is currently under production. We hear that maestro himself suggested Ulaganayagan, as the former felt that he would be appropriate for this song titled Therku Desa Singamada.
Sources say that after a week ago, Ilaiyaraaja called up Kamal after which he came to Raja’s studio and recorded the number.
“In fact, Kamal completed his portions in an hour,” added the source. Meanwhile, a little birdie tells us that Ilaiyaraaja used live instruments for the song to make the recording soulstirring! Muthuramalingam will see actor Karthik and son Gautham teaming up for the first time.
The film already has a huge star-cast including Suman, Radha Ravi, Vivek and Sukanya. Priya Anand gets her second film opposite Gautham after last year’s Vai Raja Vai. Veteran filmmaker Panchu Arunachalam has penned lyrics for all the songs and this film makes Ilaiyaraaja and Panchu coming together to work after more than two decades!
